Welcome back to the Summer term in Year 5! We hope that everybody had a fantastic Easter break and that the children are raring to go for another excellent term. The children worked incredibly hard during the Spring term and we are looking forward to seeing them continue to develop their knowledge and understanding of the Year 5 curriculum.
This term we have lots of exciting things planned for the children, including our trip to the Harry Potter Studios as part of our English unit from the Spring term as well as preparing for our end of year performance with Year 6! We will be looking at the Aztecs in History and Art and will study stories from different cultures in English. In Science we will be looking at materials and their properties and in RE we will be learning about Christianity. In the second part of the Summer term, we will be studying Food Technology in DT.
A reminder about the structure and expectations in year 5.
