Harlyn Primary School comprises of two, two storey buildings with an integral nursery.
The school benefits from having extensive grounds which contain multiple athletic and sports fields, ponds and a garden, whilst the playground has adventure apparatus.
We have a lovely garden that the children can enjoy throughout the year.
The Garden is a wonderful outside learning environment for the children. Children in Key Stage One have the opportunity of attending an after school gardening club. This involves the children growing a variety of plants from seeds, nurturing the plants, planting them out and then in the case of vegetables grown, eating the produce. We regularly enter a competition for the best school garden in Hillingdon and have previously won. This was a super achievement for the school and children.
The Pond is a fantastic outdoor learning area which has been developed over the past few years. The children participated in a sponsored hop and outside agencies provided the expertise and funding to make this environment. The children's learning is enhanced with activities such as pond dipping in Science and creative writing in Literacy, allowing the children many more opportunities within the curriculum stimulate the children at Harlyn Primary School.
