As a Harlyn parent we hope you will work in partnership with us to support your child’s learning. Like you we want the best for your child and by working together we can ensure your child’s needs will be met and supported.
We encourage parents to get involved in school activities and we value any support and help you can give us. You are encouraged to join our class assemblies on most Thursdays and Key Stage One birthday assemblies on Fridays.
The children benefit from parent's assistance in food technology, reading, library duties, sewing, sports and visits.
We have two open evenings a year when you have the opportunity to meet your child's teacher and view your child's work. End of year reports are issued in July.
Daily contact with class teachers is generally available after school. You are always welcome to make an appointment with the Headteacher to discuss any concerns.
You are invited to various activities during the year including curriculum evenings, concerts and sports events.
All parents are members of the Fund Raising Association, which has charitable status. A committee composed of parents and staff regularly arrange a programme of events, in order to raise additional funds for the school and to encourage parents and families to meet together. Recent events have included Summer Funshine, Christmas Fair and Happy Circus.
The success of these events is due to the tremendous support of parents and staff.
